Open Air Community Carol Singing

Christmas Eve, 24th December at 6.15pm

Open Air Community Carol Singing 2012This annual event is a traditional part of a Christmas in Canterbury. It is supported by thousands of local residents, of all ages, making a fabulous start to Christmas for both the young and the young at heart! A special area is reserved near the bus for those in wheelchairs.

The carols are conducted from an open-topped bus with music from the Salvation Army Band and singing led by St. Stephen’s Church Choir from the Primark balcony.

If you haven’t been before, why not come along and join in the fun? It is an ideal “Family” occasion – (approx. 1 hour duration) and we are confident that “Canterbury’s own carol” will remain a firm favourite with the crowds.

A retiring collection will be taken in aid of the Lord Mayor of Canterbury’s Christmas Gift Fund
