Christmas Eve Carol Singing 2020 - 24th December at 6:15pm GMT

Open Air Community Carol Singing

The members of the Lord Mayor of Canterbury’s Christmas Gift Fund announce that the Open Air Carols sung annually in Rose Square can no longer take place because of social distancing concerns.  Chairman of the Charity, Sally Waters explained:  “In line with national and local government recommendations against large gatherings – as we always attract many thousands of supporters - we have reluctantly come to the conclusion that we have no option but to cancel the Christmas Eve 2020 event.

Our priority has to be the health and safety of all those who come together on that special night - the Canterbury community, the band, choir and not least our own Archbishop.

Christmas 2020 will be different for us all, but we look forward to seeing you back in place for Christmas 2021, when we hope that COVID-19 will be controllable and no longer governing our lives”.
